Slice Two!

Lateness. I feel like everyone I plan with is always late. Today was the final day of a project I was working on. Each year, I have one day that is dedicated to training and one day where I judge a competition.

I do this with another person from work. Today marked the sixth day. Four of the previous five days, this person was late, often texting to let me know she’d be very late after I had already gotten up (hours before I wanted to). One time, she texted me throughout the morning (~2-5am), then let me know she wouldn’t be showing up. I only agree to do this because she wanted to do it!

This morning, she said she’d meet me at 6:15. I told her I’d be there at 6:30, figuring I’d be there well before her. For the first time, someone had to wait around for me!

I hate being late, and I hate making people wait. It was ok to do once, but I’m not planning on making it a habit!

  1. I’m not a fan of late. Never have been and never will be. And I definitely don’t like making others wait for me either.

  2. I know exactly what you mean – I’m the one who shows up early, too. I can never figure out how some people make a habit of being late – it would drive me crazy to know someone was waiting for me…and not happy about it!
